Villa Ruspoli

£6000 per week

A beautiful private villa nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains on 28 hectares of tended olive groves and beautiful lush gardens

Dating from the 1960’s, this private villa located in the Ourika Valley in the foothills of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains simply oozes charm and character. A private residence set within beautiful grounds with stunning views and with a sense of history, Sir Winston Churchill spent many happy hours in its olive groves painting the villages in the nearby hills.

Villa Ruspoli is a charming family home built to be enjoyed in all seasons. Offering spacious child-friendly accommodation, elegant interiors, splendid gardens and an inviting turquoise swimming pool as well as its own hammam and fitness room.

Tasteful décor combining classic style with local character, the villa has an impressive open-plan lounge and dining room with fireplace. Adjoining is a well-stocked library offering an interesting selection of books, a cosy and tranquil haven to retreat to.

We think the highlight of this unique Moroccan villa with its spectacular views are its extensive gardens bursting with swaying palms, flowers and jacaranda trees, its organic vegetable garden and home produce ranging from olive oil, honey and a homemade of preserves (all available for purchase), used as ingredients in the cook Fouziya’s fabulous meals.

With its enchanting atmosphere and friendly full-time staff, this villa is perfect for a unique holiday in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. For outdoor lovers, including hikers and walkers, the fascinating Berber villages of the Ourika Valley and towering Atlas Mountains are nearby. Quad bikes and camel expeditions with local guides are also available in the nearby village, whilst the colourful souks and sights of vibrant Marrakech as well as several world class golf courses are only a 35 minute drive away.
