Once we have confirmed that your chosen property is available, we will endeavour to hold the booking for you for 24 hours to allow you to check flights, speak to friends or family and make sure that you are happy before we proceed to book your accommodation and take a deposit. Please note that for busy periods and last-minute bookings, this may not be possible, so we will advise you accordingly.
Deposits and Booking Procedure
To secure your booking, we require a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the accommodation costs (or 40% for all villa bookings). On receipt of your deposit, you will receive a confirmation invoice within 24 hours. We will then email you a confirmation invoice, advising you that the booking is secured.
We accept the following forms of payment; debit and credit cards (there is no extra charge on credit cards), bank transfer or PayPal.
The final balance payment is due 9 weeks before your arrival date. For confirmed bookings made less than 9 weeks before departure date, the full payment is due at the time of booking.
Please ensure that you have valid travel insurance at the time of booking (with adequate travel, cancellation, personal accident and medical expenses covered for Morocco), in the unlikely event that you are unable to travel, or incur medical expenses, whilst abroad.
If you are intending to engage in any adventure sports whilst in Morocco (such as quad bikes, buggies, camel- or horse riding, climbing water sports etc.), it is your responsibility that you check with your insurance company, that you are covered by your policy.
Mint Morocco Prices
The accommodation prices shown on our website are in GBP for a nightly stay in a standard double room with breakfast in low season (except for our villas, please see villa section below). We reserve the right to amend the advertised prices at any time, for example if the supplier changes the price at the time of booking. Please therefore check with us at the time of booking, for the applicable prices for your chosen dates of travel. We can of course, also advise you the costs of higher room categories, as well as family rooms or single room occupancy. Our prices also include local tourist taxes when applicable.
At Mint Morocco, we work with charming small properties and have excellent relationships with our suppliers who have given us preferential rates. We do not always claim to be the cheapest in the marketplace, however, we do believe that we offer a remarkable service, honest prices and good value for money for an unforgettable stay.
There is usually a minimum stay of 2 or 3 nights, depending on dates. At Christmas and New Year, there are often special inclusive packages with meals, and a minimum stay of 4 or 5 nights. For villa bookings at peak times, there is generally a minimum stay of one week. We will confirm this at the time of enquiry.
Villa Bookings – Security Deposits
When booking one of our villas, please note that it is standard procedure that the owners will require a security deposit guarantee. Depending on the villa, they will either: a) ask you for a cash deposit on arrival which will be reimbursed at the end of your stay providing there is no damage to the property, b) ask for a credit card number for an agreed amount on arrival to act as a security deposit guarantee or c) ask Mint Morocco to take your credit card number prior to your departure for a certain amount to act as a security deposit guarantee. Provided there is nothing more than ‘wear and tear’ no money will be deducted, if anything if significantly damaged or broken, then an agreed amount will be deducted to cover any costs prior to leaving the villa on your departure day.
We are happy to give advice about flights to Morocco, but you are responsible for making your own flight arrangements independently. In the unlikely event that your flight is delayed or cancelled, we cannot accept any liability in these cases. We only accept liability for the elements of the trip that we are contracted to supply. Please ensure that you advise us of your flights details as soon as they are booked and if there are any schedule changes please keep us informed.

Alterations and Cancellations
If you wish to amend your booking, we will try to be as accommodating as possible. There is a £25 amendment fee per property, up to 9 weeks prior to your arrival. However, changes made within 9 weeks of departure, may be treated as a cancellation, as Mint Morocco may be subject to cancellation charge levied by our suppliers. These requests will be treated on a case by case basis.
If you wish to cancel your booking we must receive confirmation of this in writing. Cancellations are subject to the following charges:
- Up to 9 weeks prior to arrival: loss of deposit
- 9 weeks to 31 days prior to arrival: up to 50% of the total cost
- 30 days less before arrival: 100% of the total cost
Please note that if a cancellation is notified less than one month before departure and the full payment has not been made, then the above cancellation conditions apply and any outstanding monies are due immediately.
We therefore recommend that clients ensure that their travel insurance policy offers adequate cover in the event of cancellation.
Cancellations of Alterations by the Company
Please note that if your booking has to be cancelled by us for circumstances beyond our control, or is a case of ‘force majeure’ then we regret that we cannot accept liability for any compensation. Wherever possible, we will try to rearrange your accommodation for another date, but this will most likely may incur extra costs. You will also be responsible for arranging and paying for alterations to your own flight costs.
We define ‘force majeure’ as circumstances beyond our control, such as: adverse weather conditions, natural disaster, technical or maintenance problems with transport, riots, strikes, civil action, war or threat of war, viruses or pandemics or decisions by governments or governing authority.
Advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in the United Kingdom to avoid travel to or to leave a particular country may constitute as ‘force majeure’. We will follow the advice given by the United Kingdom Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
It is your responsibility to carry the correct documentation (passport etc.) and to look after your personal property during your holiday. We regret that we cannot accept any responsibility or contingent liability for theft from hotel rooms or safes.
All matters concerning the booking shall be subject to English Law.
