As a boutique Morocco specialist, we offer personal service and bespoke itineraries and all at prices comparable to larger online companies.
We offer exceptional service at competitive prices and that’s what makes us different…
If you’re looking to book a villa quickly with no fuss, we can do that for you – and for a competitive price. You’ll have the reassurance of being able to pick up the phone and speak to a real person if your plans need to change.
We’ll really shine if you’re looking for a more personal service. We can recommend and book restaurants and nightlife, organise day trips, cookery lessons, private live entertainment at your villa. We can also plan bespoke itineraries for anything from a long weekend up to a several week trip. Whether you want ideas for romantic weekends, tips for activities that will keep the kids amused, or help planning events for groups of 3 to 70 people or even more, we’ve got you covered. Unlike many larger online companies, we have the experience, expertise and contacts to do this for you.
We’ll spend as long as it takes to discuss your requirements, get to know you, and build a real understanding of your travel plans. So feel free to give us a call on +44 (0) 8537 2444, or if you prefer, use our enquiry form and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
How it works
- We’ll start with an initial phone call to get to know you and what you’re looking for
- Armed with your requirements, we’ll build an itinerary and/or select a few properties we think you’ll love, look at availability and pricing
- We’ll discuss the options with you
- Once we’ve agreed everything, we’ll hold your booking for 24 hours, giving you time to speak to your group and organise flights. Note that at busy periods and for last minute bookings, this may not be possible, but we’ll tell you if that’s the case
- Once you have everything agreed with your party and have found your flights, we’ll take a deposit* to secure your booking – this will be between 25% and 40% of the total booking value, depending on what you’ve booked and our partners’ terms
- We’ll send you a confirmation invoice within 24 hours
- Full payment* will normally be due 9 weeks before departure
*We accept payments by credit card, debit card and bank transfer. There is no surcharge for payments made by credit card.
Covid-19 pandemic
During these uncertain times, if you would like to secure your 2022 accommodation, we have negotiated a flexible payment policy with our suppliers. This means you can pay the final balance just 6 weeks before departure. Deposits are still payable at the time of booking, but if you are not able to enter Morocco due to the pandemic because the FCO advises against travel or the borders remain closed, we can defer your stay to another time (subject to availability), or arrange a refund for you.
The team at Mint Morocco has been actively working to plan for the season ahead and for the exciting time when Morocco reopens its doors to UK visitors. The health and wellbeing of our guests is of paramount importance, therefore we have ensured that all of our properties adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and that the professional teams at our catered villas and small riads follow specific safety protocols.
Travel Insurance
Please ensure that you have valid travel insurance at the time of booking (with adequate travel, cancellation, personal accident and medical expenses covered for Morocco), in the unlikely event that you are unable to travel, or incur medical expenses whilst abroad.
Please ensure that your travel insurance provides adequate cover for your plans. If you are intending to engage in any adventure sports whilst in Morocco (such as quad bikes, buggies, camel- or horse riding, climbing, water sports etc.), it is your responsibility to check with your insurance company that you are covered by your policy.
Mint Morocco prices
The accommodation prices shown on our website are in GBP for a stay in a standard double room with breakfast in low season. This is not the case for villas, please see villa section below. We reserve the right to amend the advertised prices at any time. For example, we may do this if the supplier changes the price at the time of booking. We’ll always agree prices with you at the time of booking. We can also advise you the costs for room upgrades, family rooms or single occupancy. Our prices include local tourist taxes when applicable.
We work with charming small properties and have excellent relationships with our suppliers who have given us preferential rates. We do not always claim to be the cheapest, however, we offer outstanding service, honest prices and value for money.
Minimum stays
There is usually a minimum stay of 2 or 3 nights, depending on dates. At Christmas and New Year, there are often special inclusive packages with meals, and a minimum stay of 4 or 5 nights. For villa bookings at peak times, there is generally a minimum stay of one week. We will confirm this at the time of enquiry.
Villa bookings – security deposits
When booking one of our villas, it is standard procedure that the owners will require a security deposit guarantee. Depending on the villa, they will either:
- Ask you for a cash deposit on arrival. This will be reimbursed at the end of your stay providing there is no damage to the property. OR
- Ask for a credit card number for an agreed amount on arrival to act as a security deposit guarantee.* OR
- Ask Mint Morocco to take your credit card number before your departure to act as a security deposit guarantee.*
*Provided there is nothing more than ‘wear and tear’ no money will be deducted. If anything is significantly damaged or broken, then an agreed amount will be deducted to cover any costs. This will be taken before you leave the villa on your departure day.
Flight arrangements
We are happy to give advice about flights to Morocco, but you are responsible for making your own flight arrangements independently. In the unlikely event that your flight is delayed or cancelled, we cannot accept any liability in these cases. We only accept liability for the elements of the trip that we are contracted to supply. Please advise us of your flights details as soon as they are booked and if there are any schedule changes, please keep us informed.
There are regular flights to Marrakech from the UK with the following airlines:
British Airways – London Gatwick – www.ba.com
Easyjet – London Gatwick and Manchester – www.easyjet.com
Air Arabia – London Gatwick – www.airarabia.com
Ryanair – London Stansted and Liverpool – www.ryanair.com
TUI – Manchester and Birmingham – www.tui.co.uk/flight/
Alterations and Cancellations
If you wish to amend your booking, we will try to be as accommodating as possible. There is a £25 amendment fee per property, up to 9 weeks prior to your arrival. However, changes made within 9 weeks of departure, may be treated as a cancellation, as Mint Morocco may be subject to cancellation charges levied by our suppliers. These requests will be treated on a case by case basis.
If you wish to cancel your booking we must receive confirmation of this in writing. Cancellations are subject to the following charges:
- Up to 9 weeks prior to arrival: loss of deposit
- 9 weeks to 31 days prior to arrival: up to 50% of the total cost
- 30 days less before arrival: 100% of the total cost
Please note that if a cancellation is notified less than one month before departure and the full payment has not been made, then the above cancellation conditions apply, and any outstanding monies are due immediately.
We therefore recommend that you make sure your travel insurance policy offers adequate cover for cancellations made by you.
Cancellations or alterations by the company
If your booking has to be cancelled by us for circumstances beyond our control or is a case of ‘force majeure’ then we regret that we cannot accept liability for any compensation. Wherever possible, we will try to rearrange your accommodation for another date, but this may incur extra costs. You will also be responsible for arranging and paying for alterations to your own flight costs.
We define ‘force majeure’ as circumstances beyond our control, such as: adverse weather conditions, natural disaster, technical or maintenance problems with transport, riots, strikes, civil action, war or threat of war, viruses or pandemics or decisions by governments or governing authority.
Advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in the United Kingdom to avoid travel to or to leave a particular country may constitute ‘force majeure’. We will follow the advice given by the United Kingdom Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
Your Responsibilities
It is your responsibility to carry the correct documentation (passport etc.) and to look after your personal property during your holiday. We regret that we cannot accept any responsibility or contingent liability for theft from hotel rooms or safes.
Jurisdiction
All matters concerning the booking shall be subject to English Law.
